My name is Emily, I’m 23 and studying in DIT.

As the Disability Officer, it's my role to work for equality in education for people living with disabilities. 

I ran for this position when I saw that there were a lot of students with disabilities dropping out of college because they didn't know what supports are available to them.

This really shouldn't happen and I wanted to try and do something about it. After all, these students get to college after putting in a lot of hard work and they deserve to stay there.
